Your Solar cover should be well cleaned and let to dry prior to storage so as to reduce the possibility of forming mildew or mould. Use a soft cloth and/or soft bristle brush with warm water to clean your Solar cover, making sure not to press so hard as to "pop" the small bubbles on the back side of the Solar cover. Clean both sides thoroughly. A garden hose with spray attachment is recommended over any power wash equipment.
Place your Solar Cover in the Storage Bag shipped with your order, prior to storing. Always store your Solar cover in a clean and dry area, free from pests and rodents. The storage area should not be subject to extreme temperatures. Extreme temperatures (exceeding 48°C or 120°F) can cause the Solar cover to delaminate or breakdown. As temperatures rise, air in the Solar Covers' pockets or "bubbles" expands and can burst or fracture the laminate.
SolarCoversCanada.com recommends that you cover your Solar cover even when it is stored poolside on your Solar roller. Our Solar Roller Cover will help extend the life of your Solar Cover by protecting it from the environment when rolled up and not in use.
